Works well

Works well able to view and log dives and download my ecards.

The App Shuts-down

Everytime I try to download my e-cards the app crashes. I login perfectly, but when I click the "Update" button the app shuts down. Maybe its a bug or something, an update might fix that. Also, you shouldnt redirect most of the options to your webpage. There are a lot of great developers out there, contact them in order to create an amazing app that all the divers out there can enjoy.

Good app…but not as free as it seems

The app itself is fine. But I’m disappointed that in order to see your E-Cards in the app, you have to pay $42 per card. So if you have your Open Water, $42. The you get your Advanced and you want that to be viewable in the app, another $42. Seems like a money grab to me.

Total dives tally needed at top of log

Cant this be sorted? I know that programming can be buggy. It would be so cool if code could be written that displayed a tally of all dive log entries. Theres a perfect place for it, in the blank blue box between "All Dives" box and "+" box. I see where there might be the issue and likely needed to be sorted out by Scuba Earth programmers and PADI. Scuba Earth desktop sight lists a Logged Dives value. In the Scuba Earth app there is no value for "Dives Logged." Therefore if the code can reference value listed on Scuba Earth desktop site the issue should be solved. Ive spent $200 on this app. Far more than any other. Not putting another dollar in until the Log Book feature is fixed. Why isnt their a numeric tally of dives at top of log entries? You try to count off one by one to get sum total of your dives. Next, digital cards are way too much. $50 each certification is ridiculous. The strategy may be to get the one off divers to pay as much as possible. This pricing hoses divers wanting to advance in PADI and have digi cards. Not to mention deters divers to get more than one eCard. **App Hack** Dont buy eCard until you reach highest dive rating. Rescue Divers, Master Divers, and Divemasters will save $100 - $300 on in-app pitches w/ that easy trick. PADI make them more reasonable, say $22, same as PIC. App quality: besides the issues of not being able to modify log entries, or get a quick confirmation of your total dives w/o counting and double counting entries, now theres a badge notification that wont go away! In addition to the app already being clunky, with buttons that redirect improperly. Who did you get to design the app? Especially with the hopes of making $300+ revenue from your loyal divers. In conclusion, PADI, fix the log book... - ability to edit entries - sum figure of log book entries at top of log book. ...seriously consider fairer eCard pricing, and aim for simpler, and 100% functional app features. Diver/User: because of grossly inflated eCard cost, dont buy until reached final cert level. Avoid spending as much as I regret doing. Hope app will improv quicker than it has in the past year. Review of last version: App is getting better and more reliable with each version. Ive dropped over $100 on it in the form of 3 eCards. Thank you so much for adding a Log Book edit option. Huge! The other fix needed is a number at top of digital Log Book for dives. Adding up alternate color bars is useful only so far. There should be a number next to All Dives or in the empty blue box to the right. Log Book and eCards, for price, should also be accessible in app regardless of wifi or cell service. Thanks. Keep us proud and submerged PADI.

Disappointing

Such great potential that falls flat. While the staff were very responsive, after many emails back and forth, we could not get the iPhone version to recognize my id and password. Eventually they just gave up and so I moved on to Dive Log.

Rip Off

You have to "purchase" your ecard to have your cert available on the app. Ive spent hundreds of dollars getting my open and deep sea already... Cmon PADI...

Powered by Scubaearth = Garbage

Deleted.

Crashes, buggy, eCards dont load

After paying too much money for a digital cert card, the app crashes every time I try to load it. Good try PADI at getting on board with the technology, but youre still WAY off the mark.

Bad update

In this update the PADI Ecards stopped working I paid a lot of money to padi for these and for them to not work is unacceptable, this needs to be fixed immediately

Keeps Crashing

After having to pay $42 for a eCard just to have the app crash and not work it was a waste of money. The only reason I got the eCard was for ease of access and the fact that the app crashes really pisses me off.

A waste of time.

Logged dives simply disappear, dive site location function doesnt work, even the online version is difficult. It would be great if there actually was a working app for logging dives.

Crashes

Crashes every time I try to download the e-card....

Cant log dives

Every time I try to log a dive it crashes. When I try to contact them though the app it wont let me type anything in the massage field. Totally lame!

Crashes constantly

Received solicitation from PADI to download app and get free eCert. App crashes every time I open it. Garbage.

CRASHES ON ME TO

I shouldve read the reviews before downloading this app

Very convenient

Great having all my certifications on my phone!

Another PADI failed app

Both the PADI and SCUBAEarth apps are total garbage. EVERY TIME I try to log a dive from inside either app on my iPad it crashes. Apple needs to pull this POS off the App Store now. And PADI needs to fire their social media guys and hire developers that know what they are doing.

Logger and Site Locator Dont Work

Have done everything I can to get the dive sites to load on the locator. Its just an empty map, which makes it impossible to log your dives because you cannot add them manually. Makes the app basically worthless other than having your dive card details there...which you have to pay $49 for all over again, even if you have already got a card...

PADI should be ashamed

Terrible app. Cannot log a dive and basic navigation is lacking. I cant believe they spent money deco loping and releasing this. Total garbage.

Poor app, needs complete rebuild

I can live with bad design but the PADI app actually doesnt work. Many features refuse to show up most of the time, logging in is a hit-and-miss affair, and dont even think about using the dive log. One of the worst apps Ive ever used, its an embarrassment that this is padis official mobile presence. Id love to help PADI rebuild this app from the ground up so the scuba community can have a good resource to use. Does anyone know who to contact at PADI to offer help?
